IPTV on a Smart TV, without an extra box
If your TV has its own app store, it can probably run LayerSeven TV directly. The trick is knowing which system your TV uses — that decides which player app you install.
01 Know your TV
Which system does your Smart TV run?
Look at the home screen or in Settings → About. Then check the column for your system below.

02 Setup
Four steps on any Smart TV
Whatever the brand, setup follows the same pattern. Typing with a TV remote is the slowest part — so have your welcome message open on your phone.
- Update the TV — Settings → Support → Software update.
- Install the player we recommend from your TV’s app store.
- Enter your details exactly as sent, or via the app’s web page on your phone if it has one.
- Test and save favorites — then you’re done.
03 Good to know
When a stick beats the TV’s own app
Smart TV processors are built to be cheap, not fast. On older or budget models, a large channel list can make menus sluggish, and manufacturers stop updating app stores after a few years.
If your TV feels slow, or the app you need isn’t in its store, an inexpensive streaming stick in a spare HDMI port is usually the better experience — and it moves with you to the next TV.

Does LayerSeven TV work on Samsung Smart TVs?
On most recent Samsung models, yes, through a player app from Samsung Apps. Send us your model number and we’ll confirm which app suits it.
Does it work on LG Smart TVs?
Yes on most recent LG models running webOS, via a player from the LG Content Store. Some of these apps charge their own small activation fee, which we’ll mention before you install.
My TV runs Android TV. Is that easier?
Usually, because Google Play has the widest choice of players. Our Android guide covers it in detail.
